Location:
Moss Point Tindall plant. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.

The safety specialist for the precast/prestressed concrete production facility ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and reduces risk. The role involves conducting risk assessments, developing safety protocols, overseeing training programs, and performing safety audits to support a safe and productive workplace.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of the manufacturing facility, including equipment, materials handling, and work areas.
- Investigate workplace incidents, near‑misses, and injuries to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and update safety‑related documentation, such as SDSs, training records, and inspection logs.
- Identify potential safety risks associated with precast concrete processes, such as crane operations, material handling, confined spaces, and chemical exposure.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientations, equipment operator, and emergency response procedures.
- Lead toolbox talks and participate in safety committee meetings.
- Ensure first aid kits, eyewash stations, and other emergency equipment are readily available and in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 General industry standards and other relevant safety regulations.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a related field preferred. - 1–3 years of experience in safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- In‑depth knowledge of OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements applicable to manufacturing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
