About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Geophysical Surveyor to contribute to their mineral exploration initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and interpreting geophysical data to identify potential mineral deposits. This position requires hands‑on field experience as well as the ability to analyze data using specialized software. The hybrid nature of this role allows for significant field work interspersed with office‑based data analysis and reporting, providing a dynamic and engaging opportunity to apply geophysical techniques in the search for valuable resources.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute geophysical surveys, including seismic, magnetic, gravity, and electromagnetic methods.
- Operate and maintain geophysical equipment in various field conditions.
- Process and interpret raw geophysical data to generate anomaly maps and cross-sections.
- Integrate geophysical data with geological and geochemical information for target definition.
- Prepare detailed geophysical reports, including methodology, results, and interpretations.
- Collaborate with geologists and other exploration team members to refine exploration strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in geophysical surveying for mineral exploration.
- Proficiency with geophysical data acquisition and processing software (e.g., Oasis Montaj, Geosoft).
- Hands‑on experience with various geophysical methods and instrument calibration.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Willingness to travel to remote field locations and adapt to hybrid work schedules.
