About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Appliance Installation Technician to join their growing team, servicing the Mossel Bay, Western Cape region and surrounding areas. This role involves the professional installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of domestic appliances in customer homes. You will be the face of the company, providing excellent customer service while ensuring appliances are installed correctly and functioning optimally.

This position requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach to service delivery, playing a key role in customer satisfaction for our client's home appliance division in the beautiful Western Cape.

• Perform safe and efficient installation of various domestic appliances, including washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve common issues and malfunctions with installed appliances, performing necessary repairs on-site.
• Conduct thorough testing of newly installed or repaired appliances to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Provide clear explanations to customers regarding appliance functionality, maintenance, and troubleshooting tips.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including parts used, labor time, and customer feedback, using mobile device applications.
• Manage inventory of common replacement parts and tools, ensuring readiness for service calls.

• Previous experience as an appliance installer or repair technician, or a strong background in a related trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical) is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and gas connections relevant to domestic appliances.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to repairs.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this role in the Mossel Bay area.
