About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Water Systems Maintenance Technician to join their Installation & Maintenance team serving the Mossel Bay, Western Cape area. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of various water treatment and supply systems. You will be responsible for performing routine checks, preventative maintenance, and necessary repairs to keep systems functioning optimally. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses strong technical skills, and is committed to maintaining high standards of service and water quality.

This hands-on position allows you to make a tangible impact on essential infrastructure in Mossel Bay .

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on water pumps, filtration systems, piping, and related infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair faults in water systems, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
• Monitor water quality parameters and perform necessary adjustments or treatments.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance data.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to water systems.
• Respond to emergency calls for system failures or leaks in a timely manner.

• Proven experience in maintenance, specifically with water systems, pumps, or related mechanical equipment.
• Understanding of water treatment processes and water quality testing methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
• A valid driver's license is required for travel within the Mossel Bay region.
