About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join their operations team in Mossel Bay. This hands-on role is critical for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of sophisticated industrial instrumentation and electrical equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliable operation of plant machinery and systems, contributing to operational efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to upholding high standards of work in a demanding industrial environment within Mossel Bay.

• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of various instruments, including pressure transmitters, flow meters, and control valves.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, and associated equipment.
• Install and commission new instrumentation and electrical systems according to specifications.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with all plant safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibration results, and spare parts inventory.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational issues.

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control.
• Proven experience as an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles , P&, and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calibrators.
• Understanding of safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
