Industrial Electrical Technician

Our client is seeking a hands-on and skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to join their operational team in Mossel Bay . This role is critical for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems and equipment within their manufacturing facility. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery, minimizing downtime, and upholding safety standards.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, control panels, motors, and power distribution systems.
• Install new electrical equipment and ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair and installation work.
• Assist in the calibration and testing of electrical instruments and control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.

• Relevant trade qualification as an Electrician (e.g., N3 or equivalent).
• Wireman's license is essential.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs , VFDs, and motor control centers.
• Understanding of industrial electrical safety regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
