Telecommunications Technician - Installation & Repair

Our client is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Telecommunications Technician to join their team in Mossel Bay . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications services, including internet, voice, and data solutions, for residential and business customers. • Install and configure telecommunications equipment such as modems, routers, and customer premise equipment (CPE).
• Troubleshoot and repair service issues, diagnosing problems related to wiring, equipment, and network connectivity.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal service performance.
• Educate customers on service usage and basic troubleshooting steps.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, and inventory used.

• Experience in telecommunications installation and repair, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling, installation, and termination.
• Familiarity with testing equipment for signal strength, continuity, and fault detection.
