Mechanical Fitter

Position: Mechanical Fitter (Contract)
Mechanical Fitter, Motherwell (Sites across Scotland), £21.00 per hour + overtime, (1.5x) + paid travel, Mon–Fri | 7:30am–4:00pm | 40 hrs

We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter for an immediate start on a temp-to-perm contract. Work is primarily within the water & wastewater sector, with plenty of overtime available.

Responsibilities:

* Carry out mechanical installation of pumps, screens, and rotating equipment

* Install pipework, valves, and associated mechanical systems

* Work across water and wastewater treatment sites throughout Scotland

* Ensure all installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety requirements

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter

* Experience in water/wastewater or similar industrial environment

* Pump installation experience (centrifugal, multistage, progressive cavity)

* CSCS Card – essential

* Confined Space – essential

* DOMS desirable but not essential

* Good H&S awareness and ability to work from RAMS
