The following position is to join our BBN Technologies team: RTX BBN is one of RTX's premier research and development organizations. We are seeking an experienced, trustworthy, contract professional with strong business acumen and initiative who thrives and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment, and who can navigate the contractual landscape with confidence and clarity and foster strong internal and external customer relationships.
At RTX BBN you will join a respected, high impact contracts team, where your contracts experience will support a diverse portfolio of existing and new business pursuits with Government customers, large prime contractors and commercial clients.
As a Contracts Manager you will be skilled in US Government and commercial contracting, contract negotiation, and enjoy working as part of an integrated project team, working closely as a trusted business partner with program managers, finance, legal, and other cross-functional peers in support of proposal preparation, program gate reviews, contract execution, program management reviews, and other contractual related matters affecting the business unit’s portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, an exceptional communicator, a critical thinker, an active team player, have a results-oriented mindset, and be adaptable to change and managing competing priorities. You will handle FAR-based procurements and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreements, support TINA, CUI and ITAR/EAR compliance, and have an opportunity to redline and draft effective terms and conditions. This position is a hybrid role to be performed in Cambridge, MA, Middletown, RI or Rosslyn, VA.

- Advise and/or represent the organization on contract matters;
Act as liaison between internal and external customers. - Review and interpret, negotiate, manage a variety of transactions, including Prime Contracts, Subcontracts with other primes, Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Associate Contractor Agreements (ACAs), Direct Commercial Sale Agreements, etc.
- Review and assess US Government and commercial customer requests for proposals, identify proposal requirements and risks, assess intellectual property issues, review and redline terms and conditions, manage cost volume development, work with pricing and estimating to support proposal development, support gating and securing required management approvals, and support submission.
- Review, interpret, summarize, redline, draft complex terms and conditions and other contract documents.
- Negotiate complex customer contracts.
- Recognize risk elements in business transactions and contracts and offer mitigation strategies/alternatives.
- Provides strategic analysis, recommendations, and advice related to contract matters.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.
- Understand forward pricing rates, cost structures, and other financial aspects of proposal and contract support.
- Support global trade (ITAR/EAR) issues and CUI compliance requirements.
