About the Role

The Operations Manager will lead day-to-day plant operations and maintenance activities, acting as the primary operational leader on-site. This individual must be comfortable making decisions, driving accountability, and partnering closely with leadership to achieve business objectives.

Safety is a core value and a foundational responsibility of this role. The Operations Manager will foster a culture where safe behaviors, proactive risk identification, and continuous improvement are embedded in every aspect of the operation.

We're looking for someone who is eager to grow into a broad operational leadership role. Depending on your background, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise while expanding your responsibilities across production, maintenance, continuous improvement, and plant performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations across production and maintenance
  • Serve as the primary operational leader, making sound decisions that support business objectives
  • Champion a safety-first culture where safety is treated as a core value and integrated into all operational activities
  • Drive performance across key metrics including safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost
  • Own plant KPIs, budgeting, and efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices (6S experience preferred)
  • Provide leadership and direction to plant personnel
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across the team
  • Support and develop supervisors, team leads, and frontline employees
  • Improve communication and coordination across shifts and departments
  • Partner with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance execution, and maximum uptime
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Help develop the systems, processes, and team capabilities needed to support future growth
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Approximately 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through direct people management or by leading engineering teams, maintenance, quality, production, or continuous improvement initiatives
