The Cycle Counter Clerk is responsible for tracking inventory of various materials; finding the root causes for inventory discrepancies and accurately recording inventory counts in the system.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
* Counts and tracks physical inventory
* Maintains accurate records of counts and frequency of counts
* Communicates any variances or inventory discrepancies to management
* Records inventory counts in the accounting system
* Investigates any inventory discrepancies and document any corrections
* Ensures accuracy of the information in the system and compliance with internal controls
* Prepares various reports and correspondence as required
* Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
* High school diploma
* Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or related area
* Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company procedures
* Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
* Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades and species
* Preferred understanding of company policies, practices and procedures
* Must be at least 18 years of age
