Provides medical physics services in accordance with AAPM standard of practice in planning, optimization, evaluation and delivery of radiation therapy.
Conduct equipment monitoring, quality assurance, and quality control both monthly and annually.
Maintain documentation necessary for regulatory compliance and patient safety.
Assist in HDR brachytherapy procedures, therapeutic nuclides procedures, and prostate seed implantation.
Be present at the machine during patient first setup for SBRT.
Conducts weekly reviews of patient treatment records.
Ensure departmental compliance with state and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrist, and radiation therapists to ensure optimal patient care.
Annual completion of World Health Organization hand hygiene education and training and its relationship to infection control in addition to physical demonstration and understanding of compliance monitoring.
Performs any and all job duties as assigned by Director for completion of job requirements.
Master's degree in medical physics or a related field Qualifications- Master’s degree in medical physics or a related field
- 2 or more years of medical physicist experience
