Planer Mill – Utility Pay: $15.00/hour DOE

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–5:30 PM

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Planer Mill Utility Worker to join a fast-paced lumber manufacturing operation. This position rotates through various responsibilities within the planer mill and requires someone who is comfortable performing physically demanding, repetitive work throughout the shift.

• Rotate through various planer mill job responsibilities and assigned work areas
• Shovel, lift, and carry boards and debris
• Help maintain a clean and organized worksite
• Perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods
• Handle and move lumber as needed throughout the production process
• Work safely around moving mechanical equipment and machinery
• Follow established safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
• Perform additional production duties as assigned

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Comfortable bending, shoveling, climbing stairs, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment
• Comfortable working in an environment with dust, loud noise, and exposure to environmental elements
• Able to maintain a safe and efficient pace in a fast-moving production environment

• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus
• Lumber manufacturing experience or knowledge is a plus
• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with coworkers
• Strong attention to detail
