The primary purpose of the position is to provide physical and emotional care to our residents at all times in a clean, friendly, and safe environment. The CNA will provide daily direct care to residents. This includes but is not limited to assistance with medication, bathing, dressing and grooming; food consumption; transferring and ambulating.

• Provides for the residents’ health needs, including determining measurements accurately as assigned (vital signs, intake, output)
• Adheres to Magnolia Manor’s established Infection Control Procedures.
• Ensures proper documentation is maintained; recording accurate, legible information about resident care and condition per facility practices; and responding to any call light or emergency alarm.
• Communicates notable changes to nurse management.
• Attend and participate in classes to maintain current certification as a C.N.A. (12 hours per year).
• Attend all meetings and in-services designated as mandatory.
• Attend and participate in annual and OSHA and CDC training programs, as well as annual disaster training.
• Assist with orientation of new employees as instructed by your supervisor

• Ability to interact professionally with residents, family members and staff of all levels.
• Act with humility and with discretion at all times.
• (Critical Thinking) Ability to identify a problem and react with a sense of urgency.

• Preferred high school diploma or its equivalent or enrolled in ongoing education.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia.
