Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00-$15.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 8-10 hours per week

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

Role components

  • Day-to-day engagement: Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department using a mobile device. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Maintain professional interactions with store employees, management, and customers. Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Seasonal demand around holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) may require additional days and extended hours, including potential holiday work and weekends.
  • Department Resets: May be part of a team installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: You are part of a network of merchandisers that supports other team members in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, and must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • You're at least 18 years of age.
  • You're able to read, write and understand English.
  • You have the ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • You have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • You have access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
