Retail Associate – Cashier

As a cashier, you are responsible for ensuring our customers have an amazing shopping experience by providing a welcome greeting, accurately processing cash register transactions, and actively soliciting “Roundup” opportunities. The cashier exhibits customer commitment, and personal effectiveness, and plays a key role in our mission.
Responsibilities- Ensures that each guest receives outstanding customer service.
- Assists customers with purchases and pricing.
- Operates the cash register system and applies basic math skills including, but not limited to, basic addition and subtraction of money.
- Understands item pricing and “color of the week”.
- Maintains the sales floor and dressing room appearance by organizing shelves, putting away carts, and returning merchandise from the dressing room back to the sales floor.
- Asks customers to “Round-Up” totals in support of our mission and/or scholarship programs.
- Meets or exceeds daily retail store goals.
- Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
You will be hired as a Retail Associate – Cashier, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of the retail operation.
A part‑time position averages 20‑25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.). Operating days will fluctuate based on store location. The Retail Associate – Cashier must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.
Qualifications- Basic math skills.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
- Prior experience working in a retail or customer service‑related environment, is preferred.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Warehouse experience is preferred.
- Starting pay rate of $13.00 per hour
