Inspire and guide young learners by bringing your expertise in English language instruction to a supportive educational setting. This contract opportunity calls for a passionate General Education Teacher to fulfill an ELL (English Language Learner) role, making a meaningful difference for students in the early and intermediate grades.

This part-time position (.50 FTE) offers a flexible schedule—preferred hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with shortened days to provide optimal balance. The primary focus will be on students from kindergarten through 4th grade, with occasional support for grades 5-12 as needed. Working with a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students, you’ll foster language acquisition, academic achievement, and confidence.

Qualifications/Desired

Experience:
  • Valid teaching certification in General Education and/or English
  • Experience working with English Language Learners (ELL), preferably in a K-12 setting
  • Knowledge of effective ELL instructional strategies and language development frameworks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage students, staff, and families
  • Flexibility to support a range of grade levels and adapt to dynamic school environments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to ELL students, primarily in grades K-4
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across subject areas
  • Assess student progress, adjusting strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Document growth and communicate with families about student achievements
  • Provide guidance and support to students in higher grades (5-12) as required

In this role, you’ll become a valued resource for students embarking on their language learning journey. Your skills and compassion will contribute to a welcoming and inclusive school culture. If you’re ready to make an impact while enjoying a balanced, part-time schedule, help empower the next generation of learners!

Compensation for this position ranges from $31.05 to $51.05. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
