Job Summary

The ERP Data Specialist is responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance of item master records, bills of material (BOMs), routings, and related system data within Infor XA Software. This role supports a large, multi-site manufacturing organization through collaboration and focusing on data accuracy and the enforcement of data governance to ensure integrity across the system to support manufacturing, procurement, planning, and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain item master records, including descriptions, units of measure, product classifications, and planning parameters
  • Build and update bills of material (BOMs) ensuring accuracy of components, quantities, and revisions
  • Maintain manufacturing routings, including operations, work centers, and labor standards
  • Process engineering change requests (ECRs/ECOs) and implement data updates in alignment with change control procedures
  • Perform data audits to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness across ERP records
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, and finance teams to validate and maintain data
  • Troubleshoot and assist in the resolution of data-related issues impacting planning, production, or costing
  • Maintain documentation for data standards, naming conventions, and procedures
  • Assist in software testing, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Associate’s in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Item master structure
  • Bills of material (BOMs)
  • Routings and work centers
  • Basic manufacturing processes
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working with ERP systems, preferably Infor XA or similar manufacturing ERP
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with engineering change management processes
  • Experience with data governance or master data management
  • Data accuracy and integrity mindset
  • Cross‑functional collaboration
  • Process discipline and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Accuracy of item master, BOM, and routing data
  • Timeliness of data setup and changes

Physical Requirements
  • Occasional, represents 1 to 33% or 1‑2 hours of an 8‑hour work day.
  • Frequently, represents 34 to 66% or 2‑1/2 to 5‑1/2 hours of an 8‑hour work day.
  • Regularly, represents 67 to 100% or 6 to 8 hours of an 8‑hour work day.
Travel

The percentage of travel is less than 5%. It will require the use of a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
