Principal Electrical Engineer

As a Principal Electrical Engineer you will design, test and verify medical device hardware, using AI‑enabled tools to accelerate development, improve quality and support regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Execute hardware test, characterization and debugging activities to support electrical design development, integration and issue resolution.
- Develop and lead formal characterization and verification efforts, including test planning, execution, data analysis and documentation.
- Implement and apply AI‑enabled tools and workflows to accelerate engineering design, development, test, analysis and documentation activities.
- Apply AI/ML concepts such as embedded or edge AI, model optimization, quantization and real‑time inference to enhance hardware development.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware engineering (design, characterization, testing, debugging, integration).
- 1+ year of experience applying automation, scripting or AI‑enabled workflows to engineering development, analysis or testing.
- Proficiency with PCB design, schematic capture, circuit simulation and modeling.
- Knowledge of medical device regulations (IEC 60601, ISO 13485) and risk management.
- Strong experience with AI tools for engineering automation is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience for a U.S. university degree, or 5 years for an advanced degree.
- Experience in medical device hardware, including pacemakers, implantable monitors or defibrillators.
