Materials Science Engineering background (BS/MS in Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related field)
Hands‑on laboratory testing, materials characterization, and failure analysis experience
Knowledge of material properties, biocompatibility, hazardous substances, and regulatory standards (ISO 10993, EU MDR, RoHS, California Prop 65)
Ability to evaluate material performance and identify potential failure modes
Strong technical documentation review and data analysis skills
Day‑to‑Day ResponsibilitiesPerform laboratory testing, materials characterization, and failure investigations on medical device materials.
Support product development and issue resolution by analyzing material performance and reliability.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to develop technical solutions.
Review technical documents, specifications, and material-related reports.
Provide recommendations based on material behavior, testing results, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Experience2-10 years of Materials Engineering experience.
Medical device or regulated industry experience preferred.
Experience supporting biocompatibility, materials compliance, and product performance evaluations.
