IT Project Lead

Drive the coordination and execution of enterprise and cross‑functional IT projects across Medtronic’s global functions and SAP organization. Own day‑to‑day project management tasks, from planning through close‑out, and deliver project results within scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring alignment with Medtronic’s IT standards and governance.

• Take ownership of project management activities—planning, execution, and close‑out—for initiatives under the direction of senior project managers or program leaders.
• Maintain project artifacts such as effort estimates, high‑level plans, cost tracking, resource plans, work schedules, and risk registers.
• Proactively identify and document project risks, issues, and dependencies; analyze, recommend mitigation, and track resolution.
• Prepare and deliver regular status communications to team members and stakeholders; facilitate project meetings and ensure timely progress on action items.
• Track project progress, milestones, deliverables, and budget; maintain compliance with Medtronic IT standards and governance processes.
• Coordinate resources, vendor management, and cross‑functional collaboration to support successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and practices.

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years of project management experience with a bachelor’s degree or 0+ years with an advanced degree.
• Previous experience supporting IT projects in a matrixed organization is preferred.
• Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Excel) and familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills; ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or Agile certification (or interest in pursuing) is a plus.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
