Position Overview
Medtronic Acute Care and Monitoring is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support Digital Health Home product quality and related remote patient monitoring solutions. The role will support manual testing, exploratory testing, automation development, regression execution, defect validation, release readiness, and QA process improvement in an Agile and regulated product environment.
Responsibilities- Execute manual, automation, exploratory, regression, integration, and release validation testing.
- Create and maintain test cases based on requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and defects.
- Build, maintain, and execute automated tests using Katalon Studio or similar tools.
- Identify automation candidates and expand coverage for high‑value regression scenarios.
- Log, track, retest, and close defects in JIRA with clear documentation and evidence.
- Support test case traceability from requirements/stories to test cases, executions, and defects.
- Use QA KPI dashboards to communicate execution progress, pass/fail status, automation coverage, defects, blockers, and release risk.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide early QA input during grooming, planning, and story review.
- Support release readiness, production validation, RCA follow‑up, and continuous improvement.
- Provide backup QA support for secondary products to improve coverage and business continuity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field with relevant software QA experience.
- Eligibility for a Security Clearance with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- At least 3 years of experience in software QA/testing, creating and executing test cases.
- Proficiency with Agile/Scrum and JIRA.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Katalon, Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Experience with test management tools such as Polarion, Helix, ALM, Zephyr, or similar.
- Git Lab or CI/CD pipeline awareness.
- API testing experience.
- JMeter or performance testing exposure.
- Experience with QA metrics, dashboards, and traceability reporting.
- Strong defect documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear communication of QA status, risks, blockers, and release readiness.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience in healthcare, medical device, remote patient monitoring, or regulated software environments.
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8C.F.R. §214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Benefits & CompensationSalary range for U.S. (excluding PR) locations: $70,400.00 – $. The position may be eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
