Senior Director, IT Supply Chain Plan, Build, Run

Senior Director, IT Supply Chain Plan, Build, Run is the strategic technology leader for Medtronic’s global supply chain. The role partners with business executives to drive digital transformation, innovation, and operational excellence across planning, integrated business planning, logistics, transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment using modern platforms, data, AI, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the trusted IT advisor to Global Supply Chain leadership, aligning technology strategy, roadmaps, and investments with business priorities across planning, logistics, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Lead end‑to‑end supply chain transformation by leveraging digital technologies, automation, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve forecasting, inventory optimization, operational efficiency, decision‑making, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Own the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of critical supply chain applications and platforms, ensuring reliability, security, scalability, service quality, and alignment with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and industry‑leading practices while maintaining strong portfolio governance, risk management, vendor strategy, business case development, and technology investment accountability.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing global team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and product‑focused execution while strengthening business acumen and outcome‑driven leadership capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Must Have:
    • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or 13+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree.
    • 10+ years of leadership experience managing global teams and complex technology portfolios.
    • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain IT, including planning, integrated business planning, logistics, transportation, warehousing, and global distribution.
  • Nice to Have:
    • Proven ability to partner with senior executives to develop technology strategies, translate business objectives into actionable roadmaps, and deliver measurable business outcomes in complex global organizations.
    • Demonstrated success leading large‑scale digital transformation initiatives, cloud modernization, platform transformation, AI adoption, Industry
      4.0 capabilities, intelligent automation, and digital product operating models.
    • Deep knowledge of supply chain technologies including ERP, planning, transportation, warehouse management, integration platforms, connected operations, smart logistics, and warehouse automation.
    • Strong expertise in data, analytics, AI/ML, Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational performance, decision‑making, and value realization.
    • Extensive experience leading cross‑functional programs with accountability for adoption, financial performance, vendor management, cybersecurity, compliance, enterprise architecture, governance, and risk management.
    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, lead organizational change, and influence across business and technology functions.
    • Committed to developing top talent, fostering innovation, promoting accountability, and creating inclusive, high‑performing teams that deliver results while embracing a digital‑first mindset.
