Senior Quality Engineering Manager – Acquisition & Integration Center of Expertise

Reporting to the leader of the Center of Expertise, the Senior Quality Engineering Manager supports Operating Units throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including due diligence, post‑acquisition assessments, and integration planning and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient safety and technical assessments of acquisition targets during Due Diligence and Post‑Acquisition Assessment periods per procedure 042‑P026, identifying quality system, product, process, design control, and risk management gaps.
  • Lead the development of a cost model to support integration and remediation upon acquisition of a target.
  • Support quality partners to develop and execute a risk‑ and time‑based integration plan covering CAPA’s, QMS and IT integration, and remediation activities.
  • Establish and track high‑risk process indications that drive patient safety, technical, and compliance risk reduction.
  • Build collaborative relationships with cross‑functional stakeholders and ensure all teams have the information and resources needed for effective integration.
  • Coordinate and collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams across various time zones and geographies to support global acquisition initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience in Quality and/or a regulated industry plus 5 years of leadership experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience in Quality and a regulated industry plus 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Design Controls, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Global Regulations and Standards (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and influence cross‑functional, multi‑site, and geographically diverse partnerships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead meetings and effectively engage internal teams, external customers, and vendors.
  • Track record of establishing, improving, and optimizing processes and systems to drive efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Strategic leader and thinker who balances long‑term vision with practical, execution‑focused decision making.
