Backup Shipping Coordinator

Quanex is looking for a Backup Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Mounds View, Minnesota.

In this role you are responsible for performing assigned production functions in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements. You will also back up the Shipping department, as needed, by organizing finished product, loading trucks, and transferring material.

• 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) + 6:00 AM - 10:00AM (Friday, as needed)

• Has moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines.
• Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met and rejects product that does not meet quality standards.
• Keeps the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
• Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes production reports and other documentation.
• Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
• Assists in other work areas when the workload permits or requires.

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• At least 3 years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
• At least 6 months of forklift experience; ability to pass OSHA required practical and written exams.
• At least 6 months of production, assembly, or related work experience preferred.

The starting hourly rate is $18.49 to $27.74, depending on experience, with the possibility of up to a $1 pay increase after 90 days.
