Design Technician II

Position:
Design Technician II – Coronary & Renal Denervation (CRDN) Design Assurance Laboratory, Medtronic Mounds View Site. Application window closes 23 Jun 2026.

• Perform complex electrical and hardware tests and provide updates to the broader team.
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel for data collection and documentation.
• Work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Identify, document, and improve known or potential issues in the lab.
• Apply and maintain quality standards for all activities associated with product testing.
• Contribute to investigations associated with product testing.
• Comply with all applicable department, site-wide procedures, and regulations.

• Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO 17025, basic experience executing installation qualification (IQ).
• Self‑starter who collaborates proactively with engineers to identify and solve problems, supports root causes, and advises solutions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB) to analyze and interpret test data.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical education, or certification.
• Hands‑on testing experience in a controlled laboratory setting.
• Electrical testing experience: understanding of basic electrical principles, circuits, and components.
• Hands‑on experience with equipment such as LCR meters, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
• Strong communication skills for providing testing updates and promptly communicating issues.
• Strong Good Documentation Practices (GDP) skills.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary range (U.S. excluding Puerto Rico): $56,800 – $85,200 per year. The position is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan.
