Company Description Quincy House is a non-profit organization that provides after-school and summer activities for teens, offering a safe and supportive space to build meaningful relationships. The organization focuses on helping young people develop practical life skills and access caring mentorship. Programs are designed to foster personal growth, confidence, and resilience in youth from diverse backgrounds. Staff and volunteers work collaboratively to create inclusive, engaging experiences that encourage teens to thrive in school, at home, and in their communities.

Role Description The Youth Development Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role based in Mounds View, MN. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading after-school and summer programs that support teens’ social, emotional, and educational growth. Duties include coordinate activities and facilitating group sessions, building individual relationships with youth, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. Under the direction of the Executive Director and Board of Directors, coordinator will collaborate with staff, volunteers, families, and community partners to ensure program quality, track youth participation, and support continuous improvement.

Administrative responsibilities may include scheduling, maintaining records, coordinating outreach, and contributing to program reporting and evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in youth engagement and youth development, with a commitment to building positive relationships with teens.
  • Background or education in youth programs and education, including planning, implementing, or supporting structured activities for young people.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, facilitate groups, and interact effectively with youth, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed spaces that promote safety and respect.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate programs, schedules, and priorities.
  • Experience in a community-based or non-profit setting is preferred.
  • Relevant education such as coursework or a degree in youth work, education, social work, psychology, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mounds View, MN, including evenings or weekends as program needs require.
