Design Technician II – Coronary & Renal Denervation (CRDN)
In the CRDN Design Assurance Laboratory at Medtronic’s Mounds View site, the Design Technician II supports quality activities across the product development life cycle, ensuring performance and safety of electromechanical devices.
Responsibilities- Perform complex electrical and hardware tests, documenting results.
- Update the broader team on test progress and issues.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel for data collection and documentation.
- Work effectively in a team and independently.
- Identify, document and improve known or potential issues in the lab.
- Apply and maintain quality standards for all product testing activities.
- Contribute to investigations related to product testing.
- Comply with all applicable site‑wide procedures and regulations.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical education; or certification.
- Hands‑on testing experience in a controlled laboratory setting.
- Electrical testing experience (basic electrical principles, circuits, components).
- Proficiency with LCR meters, oscilloscopes, multimeters.
- Strong communication skills for clear testing updates.
- Good documentation practices (GDP).
- For foreign Baccalaureate degrees: must meet 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO 17025.
- Experience executing installation qualification (IQ).
- Statistical analysis tools (Minitab, MATLAB).
- Proactive collaboration with engineers and root‑cause analysis.
