This is a hybrid position requiring an on‑site presence 1‑2 days per week, with travel to customer sites. The number of on‑site days can increase based on business needs.
Job SummaryRole supports CMU and LCC business by managing the customer relationship locally, with the expectation of enhancing the customer experience. The role partners with CST, National Sales and Local Sales teams to deliver a positive customer experience.
Duties And Responsibilities- Manage assigned customers/concepts and handle last mile activities to ensure customers receive product timely and accurately. Collaborate with CSM handling same concepts/customers, partner with transportation, merchandising, and contract sales teams to drive outcomes and influence customer interactions. Liaise with back office and communicate with customers regarding items such as product credit, special orders, etc.
- Liaise with local contract sales organization to implement direction and best practices via GSC; act as role model for best practice.
- Utilize CRM tool for account management, including managing tasks, communicating across the selling team, and ensuring customer data is accurate.
- Build and maintain customer relationships as appropriate; conduct in‑person visits based on customer needs and contracts.
- Have challenging conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for appropriate escalation as needed.
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years prior outside food service account management or B2B sales experience
- 5+ years prior food service account management, B2B sales experience within restaurant, GPO background
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Company insurability standards
- Knowledge of Sysco Products, ordering procedures and credit terms
- Proficient with customer service management and able to partner cross‑functionally
- Ability to manage end to end initiatives through challenging deadlines
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to provide top‑notch customer service to multiple customers simultaneously
- Able to thrive in a fast‑paced and changing work environment
- Expert in Microsoft Office
- Continuously learn existing and new Sysco technologies
- Demonstrated experience with and working knowledge of Sysco customers, preferred
