Sr. Software Test Engineer

Medtronic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Software Engineer - Test to join our Affera Mapping and Ablation System team. This role is essential in supporting the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of our advanced medical devices.

The ideal candidate has experience designing, developing, validating, and maintaining test automation frameworks to test real-time high-performance visualization applications. They will take ownership of key features while working collaboratively with other engineering teams and are passionate about working on a product that will have a positive impact on the lives of millions.
** Primary Responsibilities
** Work with engineers to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.
** Required Qualifications
** Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience
** Preferred Qualifications
** Knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related Strong understanding of creating test protocols for verifying software requirements. Experience in UI automation for desktop-based applications (Like Ranorex, Appium, Katalon, Squish etc.)Ability to work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs. Ability to manage, track and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations.  

Ability to work with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineers when discovering, documenting, and resolving integration issues.

Experience using a tool or repository for managing test cases (Polarion, TFS, Test Rail, JAMA etc).  Experience debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators Experience writing technical reports

Experience with QT/QML

Experience with software version control systems, such as Git

Experience with Agile development Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
