Medtronic is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Tools Engineer II to join our Cardiac Ablation Solutions Software team. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing and streamlining our software development, testing, and quality assurance processes. You will develop a variety of tools, scripts, and dashboards to support the team’s workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
The Software Tools Engineer II will be an integral member in the Cardiac Ablation Software Team, working on cutting-edge technology in the electrophysiology field.

** Primary Responsibilities
*** Design, build, and maintain custom tools and scripts to support software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance processes.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, quality assurance, and technical leaders, to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
* Identify opportunities to improve existing tools and processes, driving innovation and efficiency across the team.
* Generate automated reports and test protocols that provide actionable insights into software performance and quality.
** Required Qualifications
*** Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
* OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Knowledge of Medical device software development, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
* Experience working with tools like JIRA, Gitlab, Artifactory, and AWS, including API integration and automation.
* Proficient in programming languages such as Flutter/Dart, Python, C++/C# or similar languages
* Strong understanding of good documentation practices
* Experience with software version control systems, such as Git
* Experience with Docker and Linux
* Experience with Agile development
* Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
