Principal Software Engineer – iOS / iPadOS

Location: Mounds View, MN (Onsite 3x/week)

Type: Contract, W2

Duration: 6 months (extension highly likely; potential for conversion)

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design and develop software for a medical instrument running iPadOS for clinical applications. Work will involve design and development of new code as well as debugging and refactoring of legacy code.

The ideal candidate has hands-on iOS / iPadOS development experience in the Apple ecosystem, strong programming skills, and experience working in client/server models. Device experience is preferred but not required.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant software development experience
• Experience with iOS / iPadOS development and the Apple ecosystem
• Strong multitasking and multithreading skills
• Ability to work effectively in an agile team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience with CSS, HTML, XML, and JSON
• Familiarity with Cordova framework
• Experience with legacy code refactoring

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop iPadOS applications for clinical use in emergency room settings
• Debug, refactor, and maintain legacy code
• Work in a client/server environment and across interfaces
• Resolve multitasking, multithreading, and event-driven software issues
• Utilize Xcode IDE for development and debugging
