Surface Mechanic Trainee (Full Time)

This position is responsible for safe and efficient maintenance of equipment at the Ireland Loadout.

Pay Type:
Hourly

Pay Range:$35.837/hr

• Performing maintenance on pumps
• Electrical/Maintenance tow boat
• Performing maintenance on conveyor systems and heavy media vessel
• Perform maintenance on mobile equipment
• General Maintenance and repair at the facility
• Welding and cutting
• Operate a D9 Dozer; successfully pass a written and field test
• Operate a 988 End Loader; successfully pass a written and field test
• Decking responsibilities
• Electrical troubleshooting, AC/DC, knowledge with PLC
• Other general labor functions

• Minimum one (1) year experience in mechanical river operations
• Must possess a TWIC card
• Minimum one (1) year experience in electrical surface conditions

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Must pass companys written and practical testing
• Reliable transportation
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Effective communication is required
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), required
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicants religious practices)
• Must be able to work 6 days a week and overtime as needed; (subject to the applicants religious practices)
• Ability/willingness to work any shift assigned
• Ability to lift floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead
• Ability to push/pull as needed
• Standing, bending, step climbing, crawling and working overhead
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
