Shift/Hours/Days:
Monday through Friday, 100% onsite in Mount Airy, NC Client Profile
Our client is an established industrial manufacturing and services organization in the Mount Airy area. This senior finance leadership role reports directly to the CEO and includes ownership of the accounting function along with limited Human Resources oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the company wide accounting function and provide executive oversight of Human Resources.
- Develop annual operating and capital plans, budgets, cash forecasts, and recommendations around financing, liquidity and major expenditures.
- Partner closely with Operations on job costing, work in process, inventory, labor utilization, overhead absorption, margin improvement and working capital.
- Manage banking, audit firm, insurance carrier and broker relationships while ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.
- Evaluate capital investments, acquisitions and growth initiatives using ROI, payback analysis, risk assessment and financial modeling.
- Lead and develop the Accounting team and HR Manager, setting objectives, reviewing performance and building capability across both functions.
- Oversee compensation structure, benefits strategy, multi state payroll and benefits compliance, employment policy and related legal or regulatory matters.
- Partner with executive leadership and advise the CEO on financial, operational and organizational decisions.
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) required at time of hire.
- SHRM SCP certification required within 12 months of employment. CPA is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including senior leadership of an accounting function.
- Manufacturing or industrial cost accounting experience, including job costing, work in process and inventory accounting.
- Hands on experience with financial close, cash forecasting, audit preparation, working capital management and cost control.
- Proven people leadership with the ability to coach and develop accounting staff and a capable HR Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Human Resources Management, or qualifying equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ERP or MRP systems, financial modeling, KPI reporting, advanced Excel and multi state compliance.
- Ability to work onsite in Mount Airy and travel domestically as business needs require.
- Base salary of $101,600 to $152,400.
