Evening Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
This position provides technical, administrative, and facility operational support for the Center for Public Safety. Normal hours: M-Th 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. 22 hours per week.
Essential duties and responsibilities include general office duties, compiling BLET, EMT, and Paramedic student packets, registering, grading, and closing out classes in Colleague, assisting with registering day and night classes, monitoring all classrooms and public areas via installed cameras, providing evening office coverage, adjusting classroom setups as needed for classes and checking room cleanliness, coordinating with the cleaning staff for general and additional required cleaning needs, assisting with supply orders, checking facility for security purposes prior to leaving in the evening, monitoring the parking lot area for safety/security concerns, assisting students interested in any WTCE class by phone, email, or in person, maintaining student confidentiality under FERPA standards, making copies for directors, instructors and others when needed, maintaining building security during class time and after closing, ability to utilize copiers, scantron and other office equipment, cleaning classroom white boards periodically, direct and coordinate evening emergency response with campus police and local law enforcement, referring any facility problems to the director, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and other duties as determined by the Director.

Mathematical skills include the ability to apply and understand standard mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Other skills and abilities include an understanding of and the commitment to the unique nature and role of the college and to the philosophy of the community college system.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma, good customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, proficient use of Microsoft Office, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to carry out work assignments while handling frequent interruptions or distractions.
