REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure in North Carolina as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC.

Previous experience in acute care hospital.

Current BLS required.

ACLS, PALS, NRP required within twelve months of hire and maintain recertification.

Summary

NATURE OF WORK:

Administers diagnostic and therapeutic therapies for all age groups, inpatient and outpatient, in accordance with physician orders and consistently with the departmental policy and procedure. Day shift staff is credentialed to perform Pulmonary Functions Testing for outpatients. Ability to work long or irregular hours in order to maintain staffing requirements to meet patient care needs is essential (usually work 12 hour shifts).

May also be called in when not normally scheduled due to emergency staffing situations.
