Nursing Assistant - Skilled Nursing

Summary

Performs direct patient care within his/her scope of practice, as a member of the health care team. Works under the direction of a registered nurse. Frequent moving, lifting, and positioning of patients as well as pushing and pulling of wheelchairs and stretchers along with additional equipment. Assigned patients may be from adult through geriatrics. Involves clerical duties in relation to the admission, transfer, and daily care of patients on the assigned unit.

May involve frequent interactions with physicians.

• Listed with DHSR Nurse Aide Registry as Nursing Assistant I
• Current CPR certification (or attained within 3 months of employment)

• Listed with the North Carolina Board of Nursing as Nursing Assistant II
• Previous experience in Skilled Nursing/Rehab or Medical Surgical
