- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- Current CPR certification or obtained within three months of employment.
- ACLS within twelve months of hire and maintain certification per hospital policy.
- ASLS certification within twelve months of hire.
- BSN
- Certification in area of specialty
- One year experience in area applying for
- Recent experience in Critical Care clinical environments as a registered nurse.
- Certification as Critical Care Registered Nurse
- PALS certification
Responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care of assigned patient. Responsible and accountable for supervising and delegating care and tasks to other personnel. Assigned patients may vary in age for children 12 years through geriatrics. Hours of work and length of shift may vary from the established schedule. Patients are assessed and decisions are made about changes in their conditions, verbal, and written reports are made to others on the health care team.
Care is coordinated and documented by the nurse. Manages critical care patients with multisystem medical problems. Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
