We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150+ retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities.

Job Summary

The Accessory Distribution Non-CDL Driver position is based at the Leonard Mt. Airy, NC Distribution Center (DC), with operations in the U.S., and has overall responsibility for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of truck accessories, collaborating with the distribution team to ensure accurate inventory control and providing exceptional customer service without the requirement of a Commercial Driver’s License. This position reports directly to the Distribution Center Manager and does not have direct reports.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operates company-owned non-commercial vehicles, ensuring the safe and responsible transport of truck accessories to various destinations.
  • Efficiently loads and unloads truck accessories onto/from the delivery vehicle, securing items properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Plans and executes delivery routes, utilizing navigation tools to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Completes accurate and legible delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts. Maintains organized records for each delivery.
  • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly. Keeps the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
  • Provides excellent customer service during deliveries, including professional communication and addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborates with the distribution team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of truck accessories, maintaining inventory control and organization within the delivery vehicle.

Pay: $16-$18/hr education/Experience Requirements

Over nights required 2x per week.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar delivery driver role, preferably in accessory distribution.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, traffic laws, and vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Clean driving record.
Travel

This position requires frequent travel within the region.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including shed buildings and truck accessories, as part of loading and unloading tasks.
  • Stamina and physical fitness to perform duties that involve manual labor, including securing items during transportation.
  • Agility and flexibility to navigate and move within the delivery vehicle's confined spaces.
  • Physical dexterity to handle equipment, securements, and perform routine vehicle inspections.
  • Adequate vision and hearing abilities to ensure safe operation of the delivery vehicle and respond to traffic signals and sounds.
  • Comfort with spending extended periods sitting and driving during delivery routes.
  • Overall good physical health to meet the demands of the transportation and delivery tasks associated with the role.
