Business Process and Automation Analyst

Location: Hybrid (Plymouth, MI HQ)

Reports To: Vice President of Technology

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

Updated: January 2026

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a hands‑on project driver—someone who can see the big picture, manage details without dropping them, and isn’t afraid to get into the weeds of a system to make it better.

This role blends the curiosity and structure of a Business Analyst with the delivery mindset of a Project Manager and the builder spirit of an Automation Engineer. It’s ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technical execution.

If you naturally anticipate issues, bring calm to ambiguity, and deliver projects that actually stick then this seat is built for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead project management efforts from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment are met across automation and process initiatives.
  • Design and implement automation solutions using low‑code/no‑code tools (Power Automate, Quickbase, Zapier, etc.) that reduce friction and manual effort.
  • Analyze operational workflows and business processes to uncover inefficiencies and prioritize opportunities for system improvements.
  • Manage testing, quality assurance, and feedback cycles to ensure stable deployment of new solutions.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams and department heads to scope initiatives, set expectations, and drive adoption.
  • Create and maintain documentation for new processes, systems, and automation logic.
  • Build dashboards and visual reports (preferably in Power BI) to measure ROI, monitor performance, and inform decision‑making.
  • Support change management efforts by communicating clearly, training stakeholders, and ensuring smooth rollout of updates.

What You Bring

  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong technical aptitude with low‑code/no‑code platforms such as Power Automate, Quickbase, Zapier, Airtable, or similar.
  • Fluency in mapping, analyzing, and re‑engineering processes to reduce waste and improve outcomes.
  • Comfort running QA cycles, testing integrations, and resolving bugs in collaboration with end users.
  • Clear, confident communication and documentation skills—verbal, written, and visual.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an active, collaborative partner to teams across the business.

Nice to Have

A background in process improvement or systems thinking (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, etc.) is a strong plus, as is experience integrating APIs or SaaS tools. Power BI dashboarding experience is a big advantage. While not required, certifications like PMP, CSM, or Power Platform credentials help demonstrate readiness for the work ahead.

Who Shouldn’t Apply

If you shy away from learning new tools, struggle to manage multiple work streams, or prefer rigid step‑by‑step tasks over open‑ended problem‑solving then this role will not be the right fit. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative and builds clarity where there is none.
