American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment at a verified trauma center, requiring 3+ years of ICU experience and prior travel assignment history.
Requirements- Active MI RN license required at time of submission
- Compact license not accepted
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
- Current BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
- Copy of ACLS certification required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for nursing specialties
- Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required
- Work in a busy ICU at an acute care hospital that is Macomb County's first verified trauma center
- ICU patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity, with Step Down ratios of 1:3
- May float to CVICU as needed
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Scheduled as 3/12s with a 36-hour guarantee (no 4/12s)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Deliver quality nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards
- Follow hospital policies, mission, and regulatory practice standards
- Direct, coordinate, and delegate care activities to support patient and family‑centered care
- Navy blue scrub color required
- Facility has a strict attendance policy; absences or tardiness of 20+ minutes on 3 occasions may result in immediate termination
- Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers and receive a reduced travel rate
- Former McLaren full‑time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
- Requests for more than 5 days of RTO are not accepted
