REPORTS TO:

Superintendent

FUNCTION:
The principal is the educational leader of the school. He/she is directly responsible for managerial oversight of school operations in maintaining a safe and effective learning environment in accordance with the policies and procedures formulated by the board of education.

JOB GOAL:
The Principal serves as the instructional and administrative leader of the school, responsible for ensuring a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment. The Principal oversees school operations, instructional programs, staff performance, and student achievement in alignment with Board of Education policies, district goals, and New Jersey State requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility

* At least three (3) years of experience serving as a School Administrator

* Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership, program implementation and evaluation, staff development, fiscal planning, and school improvement

* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead instructional programs to improve student achievement

* Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive school climate

* Supervise, evaluate, and support staff performance

* Oversee daily school operations and resource management

* Communicate and collaborate with families, staff, and district leadership

* Facilitate school improvement planning

* Ensure the professional and safe management of students and staff

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

* Competitive Salary depending on experience and qualifications, ranging from $130,000-$168,000

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months

START DATE:

July 1, 2026

ANNUAL EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with New Jersey State law and the provisions of the board's policy on evaluation of certified staff.
