Teacher of Special Education

Position Summary BCSSSD is seeking a compassionate and qualified Teacher of Special Education to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will hold a valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate in either Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities and demonstrate a strong interest in supporting students ages 18-21. Candidates should have experience or a high interest in working with culturally diverse learners and students with behavioral challenges, using strategies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or similar instructional approaches.
Qualifications
- NJDOE Instructional Certificate (Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities) required
- Experience working with students ages 18-21 preferred
- Knowledge of ABA or similar behavioral instructional strategies
- Ability to relate to culturally and linguistically diverse student populations
- Commitment to inclusive and supportive educational practices
Salary & Benefits
Annual Salary Range: $64,064 - $82,487 (commensurate with education and experience)

- Must pass criminal history background check
