We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer for one of our engineering clients in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. This individual will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and execution of infrastructure and transportation projects, ensuring that all structural designs meet budget, timeline, and safety requirements.

Job Overview

The Structural Engineer will oversee the analysis, design, and management of civil and transportation projects, ensuring all structures meet regulatory codes and performance standards. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with a background in project management and a passion for creating safe, sustainable, and efficient infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with practical field experience and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze project goals and perform detailed structural calculations for bridges, roads, and other infrastructure elements
  • Design and model structural components using AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, or similar software
  • Review shop drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with design standards and project requirements
  • Recommend appropriate construction materials and safety measures based on engineering best practices
  • Conduct site visits to inspect existing structures, assess progress, and provide technical guidance
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and documentation in collaboration with project management teams
  • Develop and maintain a project database to track milestones and updates
  • Provide technical advice to civil engineers and assist in resolving design challenges
  • Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations
  • Support transportation and road design initiatives through innovative engineering solutions
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering design or project management
  • PE Certification preferred; EIT considered
  • Experience with road design and transportation infrastructure required
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and construction methodologies
  • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, RISA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in design and documentation
  • Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary engineering environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registration with a professional engineering or structural society
  • Experience managing project databases and tracking deliverables
  • Familiarity with compliance, zoning, and building legislation
  • Demonstrated project management skills with an emphasis on scheduling and budgeting
