Maintenance Technician

Burlington County Special Services School District is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team full-time. The ideal candidate will hold a current Black Seal License and possess knowledge of plant operation, HVAC systems, and proper handling of hazardous materials. This position is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for students and staff.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Current Black Seal License (required)
• Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance, including HVAC systems and hazardous materials handling
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write effectively
• Good physical health with ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Related work experience as determined by the Board of Education
• Required criminal history background check
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
• Must establish New Jersey residency within one year of hire

Salary & Benefits:

Annual Salary Range: $45,000 – $65,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds, and equipment as directed
• Notify supervisor of issues requiring attention
• Assist with planning and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
• Remain available for scheduled work hours and emergency on-call needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Educational Facilities Manager or Business Administrator
