Receiving and Planning Coordinator- 2nd Shift

The 2nd Shift Receiving and Planning Coordinator serves as the primary receiving contact on second shift and is responsible for managing inbound and outbound material flow, shipment tracking, receiving documentation, inventory transactions, and supplier compliance activities to support uninterrupted production operations. The position supports critical material shortages, expedited shipments, and production-impacting supply issues while communicating production risks, material shortages, and delivery concerns to appropriate stakeholders.

The coordinator is responsible for second-shift follow-up on urgent material concerns and providing a detailed shift handoff to first shift to ensure continuity of operations.

Position offers a starting salary range of$71,000 - $91,000 USD

• Serve as the second-shift point of contact for critical material shortages, expedited shipments, and urgent delivery issues impacting production.

• Investigate missing materials, shipment delays, and receiving discrepancies, coordinating resolution with carriers, suppliers, planners, and logistics personnel as needed.

• Document and communicate all open shortages, expedites, and receiving-related issues through a detailed shift handoff to first shift.

• Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments, including critical and expedited deliveries.

• Process and maintain purchase orders, invoices, debits, chargebacks, and material transfer (MT) transactions.

• Monitor freight shortages, investigate discrepancies, file freight claims, and coordinate resolution with carriers and planners.

• Manage ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) compliance, including non-compliance tracking and chargeback administration.

• Maintain receiving documentation and reports, including bills of lading, packing slips, shipment records, past-due reports, and weekly transfer reports.

• Locate and verify incoming materials, support dock operations, and ensure proper material routing.

• Monitor air freight activity and maintain shipment tracking records.

• Support inventory accuracy through transaction processing and audit compliance activities.

• Monitor critical shortages, Hot Lists, expedited materials, and recovery plans during second shift.

• Escalate production-impacting shortages and delivery risks to planners, supervisors, and leadership as appropriate.

• Purchase piece parts for truck modifications utilizing SAP, Paragon, P Card and IMS.

• Review shortage lists, daily reports, and SRs to prioritize and expedite critical material requirements.

• Maintain forecast and work with Plant controlled vendors and Gastonia PMP to improve delivery timing and meet on-time delivery commitments.

• Open Material Transfers (MTs) from various TMP locations based on quotes/requirements.

• Provide materials support to shop floor team leaders and supervisors.
