Assembly Operator III - 2nd Shift
At TE Connectivity Mt Joy PA, competitive pay is offered starting at $21.00. This may be adjusted based on experience. There is also yearly bonus potential for all staff and raise. The work area is climate-controlled, and the commute is convenient with the bus line to Mt Joy. TE's Mt Joy site is part of the Aerospace Defense & Marine Segment, innovating for the next generation of aerospace.
This position is located on our 2nd shift working from 4pm to 2am Monday through Thursday. Individuals working 2nd shift receive a 10% shift premium on top of their hourly rate. Overtime is available and may be required during times of increased volume.
As an Assembly Operator III, you will:
- Prepare machines and equipment for daily use
- Perform changeover and set-up functions
- Communicate with technician and supervisor any issues that may arise during operations
- Use of inspection tools, independently complete quality inspection documentation, and make necessary adjustments
- Work with team to troubleshoot, set up, assembly, and/or flow issues
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation and notification when defects are identified
- Maintain a safe work environment, perform daily hour by hour boards, 5S, autonomous maintenance checks, material issuing and all other forms of documentation with work performed
- Train and be flexible between jobs and equipment, depending on workload in areas
What your background should look like:
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with and ability to perform set-up operations, and handle change-over responsibilities
- Experience interacting with mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot assembly machines or equipment
- Proficient with use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators for dimensional inspection of materials
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately set up and assemble products
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Understanding of GD&T is a plus

High school diploma or GED required.
Compensation:
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.00 - $24.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location). Total compensation includes base salary, incentive(s), and benefits.
