Accounting Manager

Our client is a well-established public accounting firm providing outsourced accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse mix of small and multi-state businesses. The firm has decades of history in its market and is known for a collaborative, low-turnover culture that feels more like a close-knit team than a typical public accounting shop.

This is a hands-on manager role overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and tax work across a varied client base. The title reflects workflow and deadline ownership rather than a traditional people-management mandate, though the role does have two staff members whose work it reviews. Targeting a salary range of $80,000-$100,000 + bonus.

• Monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial statement preparation for multiple clients simultaneously
• Account reconciliations and journal entries across a diverse client portfolio
• Payroll processing, including weekly and biweekly cycles, payroll tax returns, and sales tax filings
• Review of work product for two accounting staff members on more complex engagements
• Client relationship management and proactive deadline coordination

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, from public accounting or industry
• Working knowledge of Quick Books a plus
• Comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines without close supervision
