Junior Estimator

Austermiller is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support our commercial and residential Roofing/Siding estimating team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow a long-term career in construction by working alongside experienced professionals to prepare accurate project estimates and competitive bids.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Perform material takeoffs and quantity calculations.
• Request, compare, and organize supplier and vendor pricing.
• Assist in preparing accurate project estimates and bid packages.
• Maintain estimating databases and software.
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and vendors throughout the bidding process.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Plan Swift, The EDGE, or similar platforms.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
