JMT is seeking a motivated individual who desires increasing responsibilities in designing commercial, military, and general aviation design tasks and projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for technical civil aviation design support, drafting, cost estimate quantity take-offs, and general project support for heavy civil construction design.
Work assignments may include, but are not limited to, drafting, basic airfield civil engineering design, cost estimating and quantity take-offs, report production, and drawing reviews.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- AutoCAD drafting
- Construction Cost Estimates
- Construction Quantity Take-offs
- Airfield Civil Engineering Contract Document Development (Plans, Specifications, and Estimates)
- Construction Safety and Phasing Plan Development
- Completion and Filing of Form 7460s
- Knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD
- Experience in heavy civil construction design
- Technical writing capabilities
- Proficient in MS Office Software (minimum Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program
- Engineer-in-Training Certificate
- 1-4 years’ experience in heavy civil construction design or construction inspection.
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
